Day Eight - Weigh In #1

Well, here is it folks.  After a full week of blogging and counting calories, we have reached the first weigh-in.  I'll admit I was pretty nervous about this.  I haven't been exercising, but I've been fighting to maintain my calorie intake.  So what is it?  How much have I lost?  I am pleased to say that after week one I have lost 7.2 pounds.  While I would love to have dropped 20 plus in the first week, we all know that isn't really possible, nor healthy.  I'm ready to do this right.  I know that even if I drop another seven pounds this next week, this will slow down to around two pounds/week.  I know this is a marathon, not a sprint, and I am in it to go the distance.  Even though it will be a long hard road, this week has inspired me to continue my fight to lose my butter half.

I am happy with my eating today.  Right at 1500 calories and for the first time I finally made it on the bike for some exercise.  I know it was only twenty minutes, but that will improve with time.  Ready to hit it again tomorrow!
