Because it's late, and we have a full day planned with Labor Day tomorrow I am going to write a brief entry tonight. My wife and I love to host. We would love to be able to say the more the merrier. Seriously, if we could just put out a PSA that everyone is welcome to a cookout at our house next holiday, it'd be done. We just don't have the space. Is space an issue for any of the rest of you out there? We have a small house and small yard (and small income), so it always tends to be hard to choose who to invite and who not to invite when holiday's roll around. I always feel so bad when we can't invite everyone. I feel like I'm saying "Hi, you're invited, but you, you're not." The solution? A bigger house and yard (and salary). I'm just kidding. We just do the best we can, and try to include (or at least invite) as many friends as possible. I'm grateful for the space we do have, and I am looking forward to National Everyone Play Hooky from Work Day with family and friends tomorrow. Don't worry, I'll be tracking every bite for y'all to hold me accountable. Just because it is a holiday from work doesn't mean it's a holiday from my goals. And someone I'm definitely not inviting is the appetite that will hinder me from losing my butter half.
I did manage to stay under my max calorie goal, but I really like staying closer to 1500 cal/day. Also, dinner was terrible. We got some pre-made pizza at Walmart while we were shopping for our cookout tomorrow. I completely dug into the pizza without a second thought for how many calories I was consuming. Here is to an even better day tomorrow.
