Day One - My Butter Half

Hi, I’m Daniel. An average family guy who has an amazing life.  I love God, my wife, my kids, sports, technology, and food.  Every day I help people manage risks in their life.  You would think that since I do this for a profession, that I would manage all of the risks of my own life.  The problem is that I haven't.  You see, I have ignored a major risk in my life for a long time.  Well, not ignored it (it's kind of like an elephant in the room...especially lately), but just didn’t make the changes needed to keep it at bay.  This risk has cost me a lot in my life.  From opportunity, to money (so much money!!!), health, convenience, even sleep, and probably much more.  This risk is my butter half, and its time to lose it.
Let's be honest with each other. I mean if we are going to have a good blogger-to-reader relationship it all needs to be out in the open. Well, maybe not all of it (whatever "it" is), but let's just say I'm going to be honest with you, and you can be honest with me (if you bother to comment). I'm pretty sure most of you have already figured out that my butter half is my weight. You see in my mind, I'm still a 200 lb (well, maybe 230 lb) guy. Each morning I'm rudely reminded by my butter half that this isn't the case. Allow me to introduce you to it. My butter half is 166.2 lbs of annoying, motion hindering, tight-space not fitting, fat around my mid-section, thighs, chest, back, neck... well, you get the idea. For the next 365 days I am committed to completely losing my butter half. Here's what it's going to look like:
Each day (Lord willing), I will write a blog post, and with it I will share a screen shot of the daily log on myfitnesspal. So here are today's screenshots...

All in all, I'm happy with today. I need to make time for more breakfast. That banana barely got me to lunch!
