Day Twelve - Status Update
I thought I'd let everyone have an update on how I'm feeling twelve days into my journey. So far, I've been feeling great. Today is the exception, and that is because of a lack of sleep (anyone else out there have kids?). Maybe the lack of sleep is from staying up too late writing random blogs to imaginary readers? I have noticed my energy levels increase, and there is a serious lack of bloating. I am being completely serious. You try eating 1500+ calories at Wendy's on your drive home and then see if you aren't bloated. You can still feel it when you wake up the next morning (and the guilt from the wasted money doesn't help either). I've also noticed that my self-esteem has improved and the seven pounds I've lost feels more like 100. My mobility is already improving as well. It is amazing how much fat limits your range of motion. I can only imagine how freely I'll be able to move when I'm down under 250 pounds. I am starting to enjoy my exercising a little more and I am looking forward to getting to where I can do more than just ride my recumbent (hopefully around the New Year). I am a little anxious about my weigh in this Thursday and seeing where I am at after a week of exercise (I think I hit my fifth day of intentional exercise!). Until then, it's baby steps towards my goal of losing my butter half.
It's been a good day for calories. I've stayed under my goal and exercised (5 days in a row Woot Woot!).
