Day Fifty-Eight - A Small Slice of Happiness

The Master Chefs
I thought it would be a good break from the norm to give a quick review for some amazing pizza.  I came home this evening from work (so glad it's Friday!!!) to the aroma of my favorite food.  Now this was a surprise dinner Bekah and E had prepared for me, so even though I could pretty much identify the scent immediately (and saw the pizza in the oven) I acted surprised for my precious little E.

So excited for the pizza we could
hardly contain ourselves!
The pizza was delicious!  It was a pepperoni pizza which was just the right temperature.  The crust has a great thickness (not to thin and not too doughy), and was crisp on the bottom.  I'll be honest, it was missing something in the dough (Bekah and I think maybe a little salt), but other than that, it was awesome!  Sometimes (even when on a weight loss journey) you just need a good slice of pizza and a hearty laugh with your daughter!  So what was different about this?  For starters I didn't have five to six pieces tonight.  I had two and a half (literally cut it lengthwise with scissors) pieces, carrots and a half of a banana.  I was very full at the end of the meal.  I did excuse myself after I was finished eating because I felt tempted to finish the other half of that slice.  I'm so grateful to Bekah for encouraging me and for her and E's hard work on that delicious pizza.  It was a fun night here at the Vickers' home.  Even while eating my favorite food I'm still working to lose my butter half.

Eating today went well.  My coworkers had wings and I abstained again (gets easier every time).  I completed yet another workout on the bike (I am really starting to see some results from my workouts).  I honestly feel great!
