When I am home, I tend to mindlessly snack. There have been a few different times when I caught myself going to the pantry or looking in the fridge. I am trying to snack very purposefully. What I mean by that, is that I give myself a max number of calories for my snack, and then choose one thing to eat. Today I had a very small amount of Zapp's Chips (if you haven't had them, you are missing out!). After I put them away, I turned to see what else I could eat. Even though I had enough calories, I reminded myself that for that snack I had already eaten what I needed to eat. Now I allowed myself to have more snacks later on, but I was very happy that instead of mindlessly eating more at that time I was able to make a conscious decision to walk away. So here is to a successful day at home! Six Saturdays down. Forty-six more and I'll have lost my butter half.
A great day of calories, and I even exercised this morning! Here is to tomorrow.
