Day Thirty-Six - Weigh In #5 - Back in the Right Direction

It's hard to believe that this is the start of my sixth week.  It seems like it is still the beginning of September.  At least that's how it seems for me.  Maybe for all of you out there it's more like, "he's going to be doing this for another eleven months?  I don't know if I can make it that long.  I'll just come back Fall '17 and see if he failed or not."  You could do that, or you could join me on this journey.  Seriously, set a goal today that you want to have accomplished one year from now.  It doesn't even need to be weight related.

So let's get to what you're here to find out.  Did I lose any weight this week?  The answer is... YES!  The official number is 6.6 pounds, which lands me currently at 339.8 pounds.  If you remember, I had a small setback at last week's weigh in and ended up putting on a few pounds.  I had put weight back on after my stomach virus as well as a whirlwind trip to Michigan (and eating out the entire time).  So even though I've lost 6.6 this week, my overall weight loss is at 26.4 pounds.  I am very excited to heading back in the right direction.

I'm really excited to see more progress this week.  I can already tell major differences in my energy level and range of motion.  I feel great after exercising each day, but still haven't gotten to the point that I enjoy it (see Day 34).  I need to focus on getting more sleep and getting more active during the daytime.  Overall, I'm really happy with the progress that has been made.  I'm grateful for the grace and encouragement that has brought me this far.  Five weeks and twenty-six pounds down, but I know this is still only the beginning of losing my butter half.

Calories today were right on target.  Another good bike ride on the recumbent.  Time to sleep and do it again tomorrow!
