Day Thirty-Three - Stress Eating No More

Well, let's finish out the drama of our car.  After spending three days in the parking lot at work and a weekend at a Chevrolet service center, Old Blue has finally made her way home.  Side note: until recently we have always referred to our car as The Blueberry (yes, that is a reference to Psych), but as she has aged and started having mechanical issues she is now lovingly being referred to as Old Blue.  I've been very stressed throughout this past week.  Between the car not working, then the part not working, then having it towed, a vehicle I was going to buy getting sold after being assured it wouldn't be (this one is my fault), then the lot leaving me hanging over the weekend, being stuck paying for a rental car for a week, and finally being ripped off by the lot (thinking about starting a GoFundMe account just to pay for the repairs), it all added up to my hair falling out so fast it doesn't even have time to turn gray.

Now I can not deny that during this tumultuous week I have had moments when I wanted to stress eat.  There have been moments when I wanted to kick this whole thing to the curb (at least for one night) and go to Popeyes, Chick-fil-A, Larry's Pizza, David's Burgers, or anywhere else I could seriously chow down.  Instead, by God's grace I have been able to keep my head level (with great help from Bekah and my dad), and remember that all of this is small stuff.  I have had such encouragement during this week, from family, friends, coworkers, etc that I was able to put a lot of this on the back burner and enjoy my journey and the victories I'm experiencing.  So, I'm looking forward to my weigh in on Thursday.  Thank you to everyone who has been a sounding board this past week.  And a huge thanks to my friend Paul who helped put Old Blue back together after Chevy was finished with it.  One more day marked off of this journey of losing my butter half.

I definitely need to eat more at lunch or breakfast to meet my calorie goals.  With everything going on with the car and the rental car today, I didn't make sure I had enough for those meals.  That lead to me eating too much at dinner.  My snacking again has been much improved, and the exercise tonight was great.
