Day Eighty - The Power of Encouragement and the Comfort of Soup

I want to take a moment to thank everyone for their kind comments and likes from my post yesterday.  I was very encouraged by my results and even more so after the support I received from all of you.  Sometimes when we are trying to reach a goal, the encouragement we receive from our friends and family can be just as helpful as the accountability they provide.  There is something powerful in our words, and encouragement is a great way to use that power.  So I want to challenge everyone else who has been following this who may be seeking to meet a goal of their own.  Find someone to be encouraging to.  It may be a coworker, neighborhood kid, family member, or even a total stranger.  One little "good job", "you look good today", or even a simple "thank you" could make someone's day.  Use the power of encouragement to brighten someone's day.

A Quick Shot of Bekah's Broccoli Cheese Soup
I'm not sure I can really overstate this fact, but Bekah is a fantastic cook.  She makes some of the best food I've ever eaten.  Tonight, she really hit the spot.  The temperature has dropped here (I know you in Michigan and other northern states are laughing as you read this).  We had a very cool day and tonight it is supposed to drop below freezing.  One of the best foods for cold days is soup.  The problem is that I am not a huge fan of soup.  To make matters worse, I am especially not a fan of broccoli and cheese soup.  Well after tonight I am now a fan of broccoli cheese soup.  Actually, I am a HUGE fan of the soup Bekah made tonight.  It was absolutely amazing (HERE IS THE RECIPE.  She said she tweaked it to taste adding more seasoning and regular cheese along with the Velveeta).  Seriously, if you have time tomorrow go and buy the ingredients.  It is an amazing soup, and it really isn't that bad on calories!  I'm so blessed to have a wife who supports me and helps me watch my calorie intake.  She is a huge part of my success as I'm losing my butter half.

I was happy with my calories and workout today.  I had some extra calories, but I wasn't completely sure I had the soup accurate, so I left some wiggle room just to be safe.
