Day Sixty-Nine - I Am Free to Lose My Butter Half
Well folks, it's Election Day. A day that reminds each of us that we are extremely privileged to live in a Republic that allows us to choose our leaders. I hope each and every one of you voted and took part in this vital process that affords us the freedoms we use each and every day. Freedom to choose what jobs we work or homes we live in. I don't think any of us can begin to fathom what it would be like if suddenly we lived in a nation (or group of nations) that dictated everything you do from what foods you put in your body to the religion you practice.
As amazing as freedom is, it does not come without responsibility. I had the freedom to eat and be lazy for years. The end result was a strain on my health, my marriage, my finances, my work, etc. Thankfully I also have the opportunity and freedom to choose to go on the weight loss journey. I think about the fact that in some nations in the world today people would not have the freedom to write a blog like this. I know I've already said it, but this blog is a huge factor in my success thus far. Accountability is key and thankfully I have freedom to find that accountability. So whatever the outcome of this election, remember freedoms you enjoy and remember where they come from. They come from people who dedicate(d) themselves to providing and protecting them. I hope you honored them by voting today and that you continue to do your part to protect them. Tonight I am grateful for the freedom to lose my butter half.
Eating has been great tonight. Another workout completed as well!
