Day Sixty-Seven - Taking Advantage of Every Opportunity

It's been a good weekend.  We voted yesterday, and then spent time as a family in the afternoon.  E and I watched some college football yesterday and then B and I have been watching the Broncos tonight.  I really enjoy the time I get to spend with my children and Bekah.  I'm grateful to work a job where I am free to spend my weekends with my family.  I don't want to waste this time or take it for granted.  That being said, there are a few projects I want to get done around our home that I have yet to do.  I have a small project for the garage and I have yet to finish staining my fence.  It's hard to pull myself away from my family to work on these projects.  I want to do the best job possible as a husband and a father.  That means that while these are important projects that will eventually be completed, for now, I have to take the opportunity to spend time with my family when I get it.

Sometimes my weight loss journey is inconvenient.  There are days that I have to put other things on hold or not do something I want to so that I can fit my workout in.  Sometimes it would be much easier just to eat whatever I want and not have to log my calories.  Still, I know that in order to reach my goal I have to make sure I take every opportunity I have to work towards losing my weight. Just like I only have so much time before my children are grown and gone to teach them and help them grow up, I only have so much time to lose this weight before it gets the better of me.  So here is to working hard to reaching the goals that are time sensitive.  Here's to losing my butter half.

I feel like overall the weekend's intake has been good.  I did snack a little more than I like to.  Thankfully, I got in all of my workouts!
