Day Sixty-Six - The Air is Crisp and the Leaves are Falling... Autumn is Finally Here.
Rebekah and I voted today. We exercised the right we have as Americans to join in the choosing of our leaders. I'm not going to tell you who I voted for (if you want to know that, just ask and we can have a civil discussion about who and why), that isn't the point of my post today. I want to let everyone know that Autumn is here. No we don't have a houseguest (I honestly don't know if I even know anyone named Autumn). The season that has been so elusive this fall has finally decided to grace us with her presence. Now the leaves aren't bursting with color (and with the change in weather being so late this year, I'm not sure we'll get much color), but the temperature is dropping. When I opened the garage this morning to head to the polls, the air felt perfectly crisp. It was actually cool enough that when we were in line for early voting (which was all the way out the building and down the sidewalk only ten minutes after the polls opened) I wished I had worn jeans instead of shorts.
Sometimes our journey to meet a goal is like a season that comes late. You do everything you can, but the results are still delayed. So far my progress has been like that. I'll have a week that I only lose a little bit (or even have a gain), but the next week I'll have better than expected results. I'm praying that will be the case this week. I'm going to be faithful to the processes that have brought about the change I've experienced so far. I know that while it may be delayed or slower than I would like to see it, it will eventually come. So if you are tired of waiting on your goal, just be patient. Stick to what you know will work and trust in your processes. I am excited about this next weigh in. While I know I have to be patient, I am still excited to be losing my butter half.
Eating was great today, but I had a little too much in the snacks since dinner. I'll have to be more careful tomorrow. Another great workout on the bike today!
