Day Sixty-Two - No Pain, No Ga...Er, No Weight Loss?

I am now sixty-two days into my journey.  That means I am over a sixth of the way toward my one year goal.  I have completed two months of blogging, and I am seeing huge differences in my overall health.  I'm not worn out, and don't find myself out of breath easily.  I can work out at a higher speed and harder gear on the bike.  Tonight I added some interval training into my workout.  My knees are tired!  But I loved the rush of the workout.  I have a feeling my tired knees are going to be sore knees in the morning.  But that's the beauty of a good workout.  You will notice the effects for a few days.  It's the same with weight loss.  You will notice the effects of it after the weight is gone.

One area I'm still trying to improve on is my sleep.  I haven't been going to bed early enough, so I'm sure that is part of the reason, but I haven't been sleeping well.  I used to sleep terrible.  Then I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and given a CPAP.  While the CPAP is annoying at times, I began to get better sleep each night.  About eight months ago I began to not sleep as soundly.  I attributed a lot of this to having a baby in the house again, but I think a lot of it was the weight I had put on.  I was hoping that as I got thinner, I would sleep better.  I'm thinking that if I will start getting to bed around 10:00 PM, then I may start to see that improve.  I think having an old mattress isn't helping either (maybe I should contact Sleep Number and tell them I'll review their mattress on here if they'll give me a bed!!!).  Regardless, a good night's sleep is required for a healthy lifestyle so I'm going to end this post here.  Another day down, three hundred three more to lose my butter half.

Calories were ok today.  I didn't eat as many as I meant to eat, so I'll work harder tomorrow to make sure I'm closer to 1500/day (remember, that is the calorie goal set by my doctor.  You need to contact your own primary care physician to help determine your intake and exercise).
