Day Ninety-Five - Christmas Party Success!
Well folks, the first Christmas party of the year is over. I must say it was pretty great. We got together with our church care group to celebrate with a meal and ornament exchange (white elephant/Chinese Christmas/Dirty Santa...whatever you call it). I'll be honest, I typically don't enjoy these type of ornament exchanges very much. I usually end up with an awful ornament. Seriously, two years ago I ended up with a black, gaudy, chandelier (which we had brought believe it or not). Tonight I saw a Paw Patrol ornament, and since E is the biggest Paw Patrol fan in the world I knew I needed to get it for her. After stealing it from someone else, I was able to lock it down! I can now say that for the first time I left an ornament exchange happy with what I got (and E was very happy!).
I will say that staying in my calorie range was pretty difficult. I'm honestly not entirely sure how I did, but I tried my best to count accurately. I avoided all the sweets and even skipped out on the delicious looking cake (we also celebrated a birthday for one of the young ladies in our group). Some situations prevent you from sticking exactly to your routine and require that you just do your best. If you are like me and you're losing weight, Christmas parties are a prime example of this. So here is to one party in the books as well as having a successful holiday season! I'm celebrating Christmas and I'm losing my butter half.
I'm not one hundred percent positive on my calories, but I did get a great workout in during the Broncos game!
