Day One Hundred and Eight - Comfort Foods

I was really hoping to be past this cold when I woke up today.  Unfortunately that isn't the case.  I've had spurts where I felt much better, but I am still dealing with a lot of sinus pressure/pain.  So that means that today was a rest day.  Bekah fed me a delicious bowl of tomato soup (a recipe from one of our friends) which is exactly what you want when you have a cold.  I was never a fan of tomato soup as a kid, but over the past four or five years (and actually tasting good tomato soup instead of tomato water from a can) I've become a big fan.  I guess you might even say that a gooey grilled cheese and warm tomato soup has become a comfort food for me.

My all time comfort food is a fresh roast beef from Arby's.  When I'm worn out or have been sick with a stomach bug, it is the perfect option.  But soup (especially homemade tomato) is quickly gaining ground, even more so when I've had a cold or sore throat.  The best thing is that I can enjoy my comfort foods like soup and still stay within my calories.  That is what I love about the way I'm losing weight.  It isn't a specific diet.  It isn't a program where I don't get to choose what I'm eating.  It's tracking my calories to make sure I'm not eating too much and getting daily exercise.  So what is your comfort food?  What is something that you want to eat after having been sick?  Feel free to post it in the comments on here or even in the comments on the Facebook or Instagram posts.  I'm curious to find out what everyone else enjoys when they have been sick.  I'm eating delicious foods while losing my butter half.

Calories have been great today and thankfully I was able to complete a full workout on the bike this morning.  I'm still trying to get this cold out of the way so I can feel healthy and push myself during my workouts again!
