Day One Hundred and Seven - Planning Ahead
I want to take a moment and talk about the necessity of planning. We always hear the old cliché (and I think we've even talked about it on here a while back) that if you fail to plan then you are planning to fail, but I want to look at this from a practical application. We don't eat out much any more. When I started this journey back in September, Bekah and I decided to stop eating out (actually our finances decided it for us...that and my habit of eating out every night on the way home). We will occasionally grab something if we are out and won't have the opportunity to eat ahead of time. I had a work dinner last night which would normally mean a potential for going over my calories. If you remember some of my early posts from our trip to Michigan, it was hard to stay within my calorie goal. It was different last night. I looked up the restaurant ahead of time and selected two meals that would allow me to stay within my calorie goal. I'm not sure what your goal is, but I do know that there will be distractions and setbacks along the way. The best way to combat them (and even avoid them altogether) is to be prepared. And that takes lots of planning. So join me in planning and reach your goal as soon as possible. Join me as I'm losing my butter half.
I didn't eat dinner tonight and I only made it twenty minutes on the bike tonight because I'm still sick. I really need to get past this so I can reach my Christmas goal!
