Day One Hundred and Six - Weigh in #15 - Encourage One Another

I know each and every one of you is on pins and needles just waiting to see how much weight I've lost each week.  I'm sure you are tapping the refresh button on your browser or reloading Facebook over and over from 9:00 pm on each Thursday night.  Maybe that isn't you at all.  You just happened to see my catchy blog photo or witty entry title and thought, "What the heck, I might as well see how much weight he's lost," because you have nothing better to do.  Or maybe you are my mother and, as any good mom would, are following because you love and support me (Thanks Mom!).  Regardless of your reason for visiting (or stumbling) on my blog today I want to make sure you leave this page thinking it was worth your time.  I really believe that everyone has room for improvement in their life (if you're like me there is a ton of room for improvement).  Your need may not be weight related.  It may not even be health related (although if it is you really should reach out to my wife about Plexus, it has radically changed our health).  Your need may be with working on people skills, getting over shyness, controlling your temper, or just caring about others.  It might be work related or family related.  I don't know what your need is or what goal you need to set and hit, but I hope you read these words today and leave with a sense of hope.  I don't share my weight loss this week to say, "LOOK AT ME!!!!"  I say it because I have been so blessed by so many of you along this journey, and want to encourage each of you to better yourselves.  Let's encourage one another!

For those of you who are visiting the blog for the first time, let me fill you in.  I am currently trying to hit my milestone goal of 300 lbs. by Christmas.  Seeing that my last weigh in before Christmas is next Thursday, I am trying to hit that goal by Dec. 22nd.  As of last week I weighed in at 307 lbs. even.  This means I needed to drop 3.5 lbs. per week for two consecutive weeks in hopes of reaching 300 lbs.  I am very excited to report that I have dropped another 5 lbs. this week.  I now weigh in at 302 lbs. even.  This brings my total weight loss to 64.2 lbs!  The best part is that I only need to drop another 2 lbs. by next Thursday to hit my Christmas goal!  I know that you can have success in hitting your goals (whatever they are) too!  Please read this blog and gain the encouragement that if you will create good habits and set reachable goals along your path you will hit your final goal.  So here I am only one week away from my next milestone goal.  I'm still losing my butter half!

I had a great day for eating. I was able to stay within my calories, even with eating out tonight!  Even though I'm still getting rid of the cold, I was able to complete a full workout on the bike.
