Day One Hundred and Ten - B Turns One!

What better way to spend the one hundred and tenth day of my journey than to celebrate the first birthday of my little boy. That's right folks, B is now a one year old!  He's grown from the little baby into a mischievous, but sweet toddler.  One of my favorite things about B is his smile. Seriously, when he grins there is a special twinkle in his eye.  He really is a blessing to this family, and I thank God for him. I'm excited to see the man he grows into one day.

I love my little boy and I want to see him grow. I want to make sure that I am here for him when he is grown. It's for B, E, and Bekah (and any future little Vickers that may come) that I'm on this journey. What is your reason? Why are you on your journey?  I'm a firm believer in the "why."  Find purpose behind your goal. It will motivate you when you hit road blocks or hard times along your journey. Seeing this little guy's bright smile and hearing his sweet voice say "Dadda, da dada da da dada" over and over is my motivation. It's a desire to see him grow up that fuels my fire to lose weight. So on his first birthday, I'm losing my butter half.

My calories weren't the best today. We had Papa John's for dinner, and pizza is so hard not to eat too much.  I stayed under my 1500 calorie goal, but feel like I ate too much for dinner overall.  I just finished another workout on the bike (while watching Home Alone), so I'm really feeling great about my workout consistency. Weigh in day is rapidly approaching, I'm praying I'm under 300 lbs.
