Day One Hundred and Twelve - Go Big Blue!

I rushed home this evening so that I can watch my favorite college basketball team play.  I grew up in SE Kentucky and it is nearly impossible to live in KY without growing a passion for UK basketball.  It's one of those things that you really can't fully grasp the passion KY fans have for the Wildcats unless you have lived there.  It's the only school that people camp out for two weeks just to get tickets for a scrimmage.  It is something special to "be part of" and a blast to watch each game.  Tonight we are playing our in-state rival school Louisville.  Both teams are top ten ranked, and loaded with talent.  It should be a fantastic game and hopefully end with a UK victory (Update*** we lost by 3 points.  Louisville played great defense and we missed too many foul shots.  We'll get 'em next year!).

I am really amazed at the level of dedication these young men (on both teams) put in to play basketball at the level they do.  They have put in so many hours of preparation that when it is time to perform, they rise to the occasion.  It is the same when you are seeking to meet a goal.  You prepare and develop a game plan, and then implement it.  As I've said over and over, it really is the systems and processes that are in place that make the difference.  While a coach may prepare his basketball team with plays, defenses, and how to stop certain players, I prepare by meal planning, counting calories, and refusing to sleep until I've worked out.  Tonight, I'm enjoying some quality basketball while I lose my butter half.

I still haven't regained my appetite from being sick, so I'm not quiet eating all my calories.  I did have a great workout again tonight!  I have my big weigh in tomorrow morning.  I'm praying that I've met my goal and I'm under 300 lbs.
