Before we get to the results of today's weigh in, I want to provide a quick update on my recent back pain. The pain has subsided for the most part. I can still feel that something isn't quite right, but for now the pain is mostly gone!
Tonight I came home to a surprise dinner. E received a kids pizza baking set for Christmas from my mom. It really is pretty awesome (check it out here). Sometimes as a father the best moments are when you see the joy in your child's face (so much it really was bursting out of her)! She was so excited to surprise me, not only with my favorite food, but food made by her (and Bekah) with her own baking set. They used whole Wheat flour in the pizza, and it was really good (tiny pieces, but really good)!
So enough about potential kidney stones and pizza, let's get down to the main point of my post tonight. This is my nineteenth weigh in, and I really wanted it to be a good one. The problem was I know this wasn't my best week. My diet had too many snacks, my water intake was too low, and my workouts just lacked intensity. I am happy to report that even through all of this, I still lost 1 lb. This brings my total amount lost to 71 lbs weighing in at 292.2 lbs. I know a single pound isn't what I like to see. I really want to average 2-3 pounds a week, but every journey has slow periods. This is a hill I'm having to climb, and it may end soon, or it could go on for weeks. I'm praying that next week will be much better. If it isn't, if this is a slow climb for a few weeks, I'm good with that. I'm just excited to still be headed in the right direction. I'm seventy-one pounds down and I'm losing my butter half!
My calories were good. I had some trouble logging my pizza tonight, because it was tiny pieces of ten inch pizzas (the pizza stones are kid size). The back pain has subsided considerably, so I was able to get in a full 50 minute workout.
