Day One Hundred and Forty-Three - Weekend of Family, Popcorn, and Losing Weight

Bekah and I were talking last night about my progress.  We realized that I'm almost to my halfway point (regarding weight, not time).  We started calculating how much I will weigh when our seventh anniversary rolls around this summer.  Even if I only average two pounds per week, I should still lose enough to weigh less than I weighed when we got married back in 2010.  That would be huge!  It would mean that I would weigh less than Bekah has ever known me to weigh.  If I average three pounds per week (still less than the nearly four pounds per week I've been losing so far) then I will nearly have lost my entire butter half.  I am not planning to keep losing at the three pound average, I think at this point two is a healthier weight.

Our weekend has started out well.  We spent time as a family, and Bekah fed me some great meals today.  The amazing thing is both lunch and dinner were leftovers!  Lunch was a second cup of the amazing southwest chicken soup/chili from last night, and dinner was sliders using the leftover pot roast.  It's amazing how a quick meal from leftovers can be so delicious.  I really am so very blessed to have her making me these delicious and healthy meals.  We finished our evening watching UK beat South Carolina and eating popcorn.  I want you to know why this is important.  When I'd make popcorn for our family before I started on this journey, I would pop two bags.  I would typically eat one of the bags and leave the other for Bekah and Ella.  Now I took a measuring cup and fixed three cups for myself.  It's a big difference, but a welcomed one.  I feel better, and I don't feel swollen from the salt.  I love how small changes can make such a difference.  I'm enjoying good food and losing weight, and I'm losing my butter half.

My calorie intake today was good.  The great thing about weekends is getting to workout earlier in the day.
