Do you remember snow days as a kid? I can still remember when I was a kid just begging God to let it snow. The beautiful white fluff falling to the ground brought both wonder and excitement (well as much wonder and excitement as three to five inches of snow can bring... I did grow up in KY). Snow meant sledding and snow fort building. Snow brought homemade snow cream and Hawaiian Punch snow cones (seriously, if you have never tried this you are missing out! Just get a cup of fresh snow and pour Hawaiian Punch over it. You can thank me later)! When it would snow I would play out in the freezing temperatures until my mom made me come do my school work (I was homeschooled, I didn't know what a snow day was until I started going to school for Jr. High and High School). So what were snow days like for you? Did you even have them? Maybe you are from Florida and have never even seen snow (If this is the case, I am sorry).

I really do think snow is beautiful. I even woke Bekah up at 6:30 this morning to try and get her to come watch it fall. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I do better with my eating and exercise when I'm following a routine. A snow day is a hiccup to my routine, and provides opportunity to overeat or snack on things like Chex Mix and tortilla chips (if you haven't had Simple Truth Organic Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips you are missing out my friend). Thankfully, I did control myself and refrain from eating the entire bag of either snack. We are also out of salad greens, so I feel like I need more vegetables. So what do you do when your routine is thrown? How do you keep from setting yourself back by eating tons of snacks or being lazy and not exercising? It did help to do some work from the house today which set up a good time to workout this evening. So here I sit, at the end of my snow day. It's cold and wet out, but that's not going to stop me from losing my butter half.
I stayed in my calorie goal, but had too many snacks and not enough vegetables. My workout this evening was great. I cranked up the intensity some, and really felt worn out after I was finished. I have noticed that I'm not drinking enough water, so I'm going to work on fixing that.
