Day One Hundred and Sixty-Nine - Weigh in #24 - Not My Best Week
There are days (more often lately) that I want a "cheat day." There is this old part of me that keeps trying to rear it's ugly, fat, head and jump back in control. There are urges to eat five or six slices of pizza, or to stop for a Baconator or Large Chicken Finger Platter on my way home. Most days these temptations don't even cross my radar, and hopefully there will eventually be a day when the temptations are completely done. For some reason this past week I had more of these days than usual. I am very glad that the week is over and my weigh in is in the books.
So how did my weigh in go? It wasn't my best week, but it wasn't my worst. After a week like I had, I was just hoping to be two pounds down, but that isn't quite the case. While I'm not thrilled with my results, I am glad to announce that I did lose again. As of this morning I am down another 1.2 lbs. This brings my total weight loss to 88.2 lbs, weighing in at 278 lbs. even. So I did not make my goal of two pounds per week, but I am still happy to have lost at least a pound. I know that it is going to be like this for the rest of this journey. I'm past the easy part and it's going to be a slow, uphill grind to the finish line. I simply need to look at the positives from this week and recognize the negatives and how to avoid them in the future. It may not have been my best week, but I'm still losing my butter half.
My calorie intake was great today. Another salad, and Bekah made fajitas for dinner. My workout wasn't as intense as I'd prefer, but I'm pretty wiped.
