Fridays are confusing days for me. On one hand I'm excited for the weekend, but on the other I dread all the things I know I need to be working on since I'll have the free time. There are several small things around our house I need to finish as well as working on revising my business plan for my agency. I really just want to have a Saturday when the house has nothing that needs worked on and I can just relax (keep on dreaming Daniel). So what about all of you? What do your weekends look like? Are you constantly working around the house? Maybe you're the outdoorsy type, going hiking and biking? You could also be the type that keeps the house and task list small so that you can binge watch something on Netflix all weekend. Regardless of what we all will be doing, I hope our plans don't distract from our goals.
For me a busy weekend isn't a problem. Staying busy actually makes it easier for me to keep losing weight. It's when I'm idle that I begin to snack mindlessly. Is it like that for anyone else out there? If you have a few hours of laziness, does your ability to fight bored eating disappear? I know for me it's like I'm a mindless zombie raiding the pantry. I come out of my mindless state only to realize that I've eaten three bags of chips, a giant box of goldfish, and seven cookies! Keeping busy distracts me between meals and provides some structure for my day. That structure allows me to plan my meals the same as during the week. It's not always easy, but I'm learning to kill the zombie. I may have a lot to do on the weekends, but the most important thing is that I keep losing my butter half.
My calorie intake was great today. Bekah marinated some chicken tonight for dinner that was absolutely delicious. I also was able to get a full workout in this evening. Here's to the weekend!
