Day One Hundred and Seventy-One - A Blog "About Me (E), Mommy, & Brudder" (But Not Daddy)

I hope everyone has had a great Saturday.  By request of my four year old, I am going to "write about me, Mommy, and Brudder.  The three of us, not you" tonight.

There is something special about being around your family.  The warmth that comes from the hug of a spouse or child is completely different than anyone else.  For me, my favorite part of Saturdays is hearing my kids laughter.  B was so happy throughout the day.  He'd do something (and of course be completely proud of himself), and then look at me smiling, waiting for a "good job!"  E is very demanding of time and attention.  She just wants to make sure you see/hear everything she does.  Even tonight, while I was sitting in the room with her as she fell asleep, she would cough, and then ask if I heard.  Probably the best part of being home on the weekend is hearing Bekah with the kids.  There is something very special about the way children relate to their mother.  This is especially true with B.  He absolutely loves his mommy.  It is so sweet to see him follow her around, and wait outside the door of whatever room she goes in.  I am so blessed to be the husband/father to these three amazing people.  I love each of them more and more every day.  It's for them that I am losing my butter half!

My calorie intake was good today.  I had more snacks that I prefer, but I did stay within my calorie goal.  I had a great workout this morning, and we went on a family walk this evening.  I feel like it was a great day for activity.
