Day One Hundred and Sixty-Three - My Kryptonite

Everybody has something that is their weakness.  Most of the time we refer to this weakness as our kryptonite.  Just like Superman (ok, I know it's not JUST like Superman) we all have that one thing that can make us vulnerable to defeat.  When it comes to weight loss, that weakness is typically a specific food.  For a lot of people that is sweets, especially chocolate.  Others may have trouble with fries (I mean who can just eat one).  While the fries are hard for me, my kryptonite is (and always has been) pizza.  I know I've mentioned before that I can eat pizza anywhere and at any time.  I can eat pizza on a bagel, pizza on tortillas, lunchroom pizza (you know the big rectangles made in sheets!), thin crust, hand tossed, pan, deep dish, New York style, you name it and I'll eat it.

So far on this journey I've done really good when it comes to pizza.  I haven't had a big struggle with eating too much.  Tonight, I ate too much.  We went to a pizza buffet and, while I didn't completely ruin my calorie intake, I did have over three slices.  I usually only eat one or two slices anymore.  The difference is that I usually eat the pizza at home.  I can just grab it out of the box and then not even think about going back for seconds.  I honestly had to stop myself from eating more tonight.  Maybe I was just really hungry, or the crust was so thin that they weren't filling enough.  Something was different.  I am just grateful to have stayed within my calorie goal.  So what's your kryptonite?  Feel free to type in the comments or on the Facebook post.  I may have lost a battle with pizza tonight, but it won't stop me from losing my butter half.

My calorie intake was pushing the max today (thanks to a lack of self-control at the pizza buffet).  I'm glad I was able to work out for longer than normal tonight.
