Day One Hundred and Eighty-Five - Goofy Saturdays

My favorite thing about Saturdays is getting to spend it with my family.  In the past we would wake up late or if the kids woke early, we'd laze around watching TV until close to noon.  We've really worked hard to make changes to that.  This morning we got up and were out of the house before eight-thirty.  We did all of our grocery shopping and errands and were home well before noon.  We watched UK win their final regular season game, and then enjoyed our afternoon.  Bekah and E surprised me by cleaning out the car while B and I took naps.  We finished off our evening with a car wash (I took E to a drive through was which was a huge hit!), Papa Johns pizza (Bekah and I loved the BBQ chicken and pineapple!), and a Hallmark movie.

E and I really had a fun trip out.  We made a silly video going through the wash (I'm pretty sure we were attacked by an octopus monster).  We also got to sing songs and she told me a silly story.  I love getting to be silly with my girl.  I know for me it helps me to relax and shows her that while Daddy is a very serious person, it is important to just have fun.  So whether I'm telling her a Sir Penguin story (a fictional knight saga I made up about a year ago), singing, wrestling on the floor, or letting our imaginations go wild, every moment makes each weekend more and more special.  I love my sausage pizza loving little girl.  I'm grateful for goofy Saturdays, and I'm losing my butter half.

My calorie intake wasn't the best today.  I still stayed under my max, but I had a lot of things I normally avoid.  I had a muffin at breakfast, then popcorn, and also pizza at dinner.  Thankfully I had Plexus Block so I could block up to 48% absorption of the carbs and sugars of my pizza tonight.  Since we left so early this morning, I didn't get to workout before breakfast.  I was able to get in a full fifty minutes on the bike before dinner tonight.
