Day One Hundred and Ninety-Seven - Weigh in #28 - Weight Loss isn't Win or Go Home

Today and tomorrow sports fan's across the nation will be distracted by thirty-two basketball games.  These games are the first round of the NCAA Tournament.  At work today I had both a Kindle Fire and my iPad playing two games simultaneously (don't worry, I was still working with the sound muted).  It was the college basketball fan's dream.  This is by far my favorite time of the year.  The passion these young men play with is inspiring.  Each game they play they know could be their final game of the season (and for some their career).  The results are some of the best basketball you can watch all year.  When a sixteen seed can take down a mighty giant of a one seed (which has never happened), or an eleven seed upset a six (I'm currently watching Xavier upset Maryland).  At the end of the day, the team that played the better game and scored the most points wins.

Today was another weigh in for me.  As you all know, I seem to have hit a very slow period in my weight loss journey.  Thankfully this life change isn't a win or go home situation.  When I have a bad week it isn't over for me.  I just pick back up and try again the next.  Well, this week wasn't my best.  For the second week in a row, I have had very little loss.  When I weighed this morning I was 0.4 lbs down.  This brings my total weight loss to 94.4 lbs, with a current weight of 271.8 lbs.  I know I need to be grateful that I didn't gain weight, but I really don't like seeing less than two pounds loss each week.  I do have to remind myself that this week included several days of travel and vacation.  While I was in KY I ate things I normally wouldn't and spent two of the days driving (and snacking).  So this week, I am regrouping, and I'll see how the weight loss goes.  If I still don't have better results, then I will have to take another look and find some changes that I can make to get better results.  For now, I'm simply happy that I am still heading in the right direction, and that I'm losing my butter half.

My intake today was good.  I did have a truffle tonight that was probably too many calories.  I had another full workout on the bike and did another single set of crunches.
