Day One Hundred and Ninety-Two - Wedding Bells Mean Wedding Cake
I know this has been a running theme for the past few days, but I am posting very late and I am very tired. I have to get back on a good schedule for the week, and back to exercising each morning. It looks like Monday morning is my goal to get things back in a routine.
We went to a friend's wedding today which inevitably meant one thing. There would be cake! When you are trying to avoid sweets (because out of no where you've developed a major sweet tooth) it doesn't help to attend a celebration where there is cake being served. Especially when, along with the cake, there is Oreo Cheesecake and cupcakes. The nice thing was that I had a wife who was willing to suffer for my cause by sharing my cheesecake slice with me. I managed to leave having only eaten half a slice of the deliciousness (but that doesn't mean that a small part of me did not want to eat the entire cheesecake). We capped off the evening having dinner with one of my best friends in the world. It was great getting to spend time with he and his wife eating, chatting, and laughing. Probably one of the funniest parts of the night was the realization that he and I are getting older. No it isn't the thinning hair (which is sadly true for both of us), but the fact that we finally left because the restaurant turned the music up to loud after 9:30 (for the late night party crowd). I really don't like that I've had two days of unhealthy choices for what is going into my body. I also don't like that definitely didn't have my salad today. I'm ready to get things back to normal. I am still losing my butter half.
Eating today was not my best. From the Chex mix and Cheesecake, to the burger, fries, and brownies. Each of my meals (while not major portions) was far from the right things for me to be putting in my body. One positive is that, just like the past few days, I was able to get a full workout in.
