Day Two Hundred and Six - This is What 100 Lbs Down Looks Like

I thought for today's post I'd share a huge success story from my day.  My mom is in town right now, and like any other parent we jumped at the chance to go out on a date (have you paid a babysitter lately?  Not saying they don't earn it, going on a date and hiring a sitter is just crazy expensive).  We decided to see a morning movie (matinee prices rock) at one of Little Rock's recently updated theaters.  The theater just put in really comfortable recliners, and didn't raise the ticket price.  The best part of the movie was that I only ate a small portion of a small popcorn.  At this point last year I would buy a large butter drenched popcorn and polish it off myself (and then get a free refill to take home).  The second victory today was lunch.  We went to Olive Garden and I had Zuppa Toscana and breadsticks.  In the past I would have eaten at least four or five breadsticks, two bowls of the Zuppa, and an entree.  I ate less than two breadsticks, and had less than two bowls of soup.  I didn't order an entree, so my calorie intake was well-managed.

The picture above was taken last year.  I wanted to give a visual representation to show what 100 lbs. lost looks like.  The crazy thing is that I don't remember looking like that.  I guess that even though I saw myself each day and saw how big I was, it never seemed (in my mind) to be as big as the picture reveals.  I'm so glad to see the weight coming off.  When I look in the mirror each day I can see the difference in my face, but I have trouble seeing it in my belly.  I still see how much I have to lose.  Pictures like this one really help me to see where I've come from (and hold me accountable to never going back).  I'm 100 lbs. down, and I'm not stopping.  I'm losing my butter half.

Calorie intake today could have been better.  I really felt I did a good job at Olive Garden, but overall I ate too much.  I did get a full ride in, and my two sets of crunches.
