Day Two Hundred and Eighteen - Weigh in #31 - Bekah Turns 29 (Again!)

We are celebrating in the Vickers family today.  It is Bekah's birthday!  This woman never ceases to amaze me.  She serves our family day in and day out.  I know I've said it before, but I know that I can never say it too much.  Bekah is one of the main reasons for my success along my journey.  She encourages me daily.  For seven plus months she has daily fixed healthy meals for me.  Every single morning she wakes up and makes me breakfast, and then fixes me a lunch for work.  She wakes up with our kids during the night, and cares for them all day long.  She is an amazing woman, and I am blessed to call her my wife.

Let's get to my weigh in details.  After only losing 1.4 lbs. last week, I really wanted to have a better week this time around.  I had a really great week for the most part, and I was fairly confident that I had lost at least another pound.  When I stepped on the scale this morning I was floored.  I lost another 2.8 lbs!  I was not expecting that.  I am really thrilled to have lost nearly three more pounds.  This brings my total weight loss to 104.6 lbs., with a current weight of 261.6 lbs!  So what do you do when you lose 2.8 lbs., and it's your wife's birthday?  You celebrate with friends, grilled pizza, and homemade ice cream pie!  I haven't grilled pizza in a while, so I was really excited to do it.  We make a Pizza Margherita recipe by Alton Brown (recipe here) that is really very good.  The pizzas turned out great, and were a huge hit.  There wasn't a single slice left over!  For the dessert, I used bluebell ice cream and some pre-made graham cracker pie crusts.  I spooned the ice cream into the crust and added some fudge.  I then popped it in the freezer and viola! Ice cream pie!  After our friends left Bekah opened her gifts and cards.  It really was a great day of celebration.  Today, it's the love of my life that I'm losing for.  I'm losing my butter half!

My calories today were good, but I overdid it tonight.  The pizza was hard to track because we cut the slices into irregular pieces.  I had some ice cream pie, but I made sure I didn't overdo it too much.  I probably could have gotten by without any, but it was so good!  I am very full now.  I got a full workout on the bike in this morning with three sets of crunches and I added in a thirty seconds plank.  I barely made it the entire time.  I'm excited to be progressing in my workout.
