Day Two Hundred and Thirty - Sawdust, Cardboard, or Dog Food

Wow, I can't believe that I have completed two hundred and thirty days of this journey.  I don't think I've consistently stuck with any sort of weight loss/lifestyle change longer than two or three months.  I want to take a few moments and talk about some observations that I have noticed this week.  First off, I can now wear an XL in a lot of my clothes.  I have gone from someone needing a 4XL (but squeezing into 3XLs) down to having to return a pair of 2XL shorts that were too big.  I think for my shirts, I am a mix between the two sizes, depending on the brand.

The second thing I've noticed is the foods I'm eating.  If you could really understand just how much I hated eating salads.  Now I eat a salad every day for lunch.  Every day!  I have probably had more salads since September than I have had in my entire life.  And it isn't that I eat them, I really enjoy them.  I'm not talking about just adjusting to them, or "enjoy" them in a "it really isn't that bad" type of way.  It always kills me when people are on a diet, eating "diety" foods and saying "it really isn't that bad."  I have a feeling that you are laughing right now because you have either said that yourself, or know someone on a diet that does.  In reality, we all know when someone says that, it just means they are trying to convince themselves that the food doesn't taste like sawdust, cardboard, or dog food.  I'm grateful for smaller sizes and delicious food (provided by a beautiful cook).  I'm losing my butter half.

My food intake toady was great.  I had an awesome salad for lunch, and delicious pork fajitas for dinner.  I'm so blessed to have Bekah fixing really tasty, healthy meals.  I got another full workout in bright and early this morning and a walk around the neighborhood with the kids tonight.
