I am slowly adjusting back to my 6AM workout. As shown in my picture, that doesn't mean I'm not still tired each morning. I still think if there is a five as the first number on my alarm it is way too early. I notice a huge difference in my attitude and my energy on the days I do morning workouts. My morning routine is now to get up at 5:45AM, and get on the bike by 5:55AM. After riding, I do my crunches and planks on a mat. As soon as I'm through with that I drink my Plexus Slim (no coffee needed when I can gain energy and balance my blood sugar and cravings with one drink) and then get ready for work. My breakfast is still the same almost every morning, one egg, one egg white, and one sausage link. It is amazing how getting up a little more than an hour earlier each day allows me to feel better, have more energy, kickstart my metabolism, and give me extra time with my family at night. I love that my entire morning is based around growing healthier and losing weight, and I am excited for when this becomes habit.
So, if you drudged through that first paragraph, here is the part I'm sure you are most interested in. After a rough week for me in food choices, I was a little nervous to step on the scale this morning. I worked out really hard this week and started back with my morning workouts. I was just hoping that my workouts would help me avoid gaining weight this week. They did that, and more. When I stepped onto the scale this morning I was pleased to see the scale showed another 2.2 lbs. down. I have now lost 106.8 lbs., with a current weight of 259.4 lbs. I am so close to being lighter than I was when we got married in 2010. The best part is that with this weeks weigh in I am still losing at an average rate of two (plus) pounds per week. If I can keep this rate going, then when I reach the one year mark in September, I should weigh approximately 220 lbs. I'm very encouraged tonight because I'm still losing my butter half!
My calorie intake today was perfect. I'm regularly using my plexus products, so with those, my strict diet and exercise each day I am confident that I'll continue to lose each week.
