After two days of not being careful (ahem... Blue Bell Ice Cream Pie!), I made sure to get back on track today. I completely avoided the freezer, and worked hard to stay on track. It was pretty easy because I had a full day of small projects to complete. I built the shelves that I'll be hanging in the laundry room for Bekah (just need to pick up some heavy duty dry wall anchors so I can hang them tomorrow). I also hung the water hose holders on my fence (something I can't believe has taken me this long to buy). Keeping busy with projects on a weekend really helps me avoid mindless snacking. It also gives me a sense of accomplishment when my day is through.
I feel a lot better when I avoid the sweets. Don't get me wrong, I really do enjoy the taste of ice cream and other treats, but I noticed this morning that I just felt sluggish. After having three nights of ice cream, I knew my body needed a break from the sugar. I don't know about all of you, but I love that my body can tell me when I'm overdoing it. For so many years I suppressed that feeling of groggy sluggishness. Now, after changing my diet and using Plexus products to get my gut healthy and balance my body, I can tell when something is off. God made our bodies so intricately, and I'm fascinated and amazed how well my body works when I'm making smart decisions with food, supplements, and exercise. It's been a really good (but busy) Saturday, and I'm losing my butter half.
I did really well with my calorie intake today. The smoothie for breakfast threw me off a little, but overall my day was great. My workout was great this morning, and I'm loving having a yoga mat to do my crunches and planks on.
