Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Six - It's a Good Feeling When Your Pants are Too Big

Yesterday I added two thirty second plank (one on each of my arms) to my morning workout routine.  Basically, I do a normal plank for thirty seconds, then I turn to my left side (with my right leg and foot on top of my left) and do a plank on one arm.  Then I turn to my right side and do the same.  I can make the full half minute on my right side, but I have trouble with the left.  Both yesterday and today I did not make it the whole thirty seconds without falling.  I like having an exercise that I'm not able to do perfectly right now.  It gives me something to use for measurement.  In a few weeks, when I'm able to complete the full thirty seconds without falling, I'll be able to see the difference in where I started this week.  It's changes and growth like this that excites me.

I had a major encouragement today.  I purchased some new shorts for my workouts at Under Armour on Sunday.  The shorts I've been using are a XXL.  I assumed that I would need to buy an XXL again, so that is what I purchased.  When I tried them on to use them this mornings, I realized I'm no longer a XXL.  It is a great feeling when you realize that clothes are too big.  It was an even better feeling walking into the store to exchange the shorts for a smaller size.  I also don't have to shop in the big and tall section anymore.  These things really ad fuel to my fire.  They encourage men to keep on with my journey.  I am so excited to be dropping weight and size.  I'm motived, and I'm losing my butter half.

My calorie intake today was great.  My workout this morning was tough, but I'm slowly readjusting to early mornings.  I also mowed the lawn tonight, so I broke the 10,000 step mark again!
