After dinner, we went out front to get some fresh air while I set the sprinkler out to water the grass tonight. Some neighbors came by with their puppy (which I don't think a Great Dane can honestly be a puppy after it has been alive for a few hours). The kids loved it. B was a little unsure, but definitely wanted to get in on the petting (and being slobbered on). It started to make me wish we had a dog, and then I thought about the vet and food bills for that beast! That brought me back to reality pretty quick. I really do like dogs a lot, I am just not willing to put the money and/or time into having one at this point in our life. We came back inside to get ready for bed and read a book. I don't know if you read to your children, but if you don't, please go to the library and check out a few books. Then read to them. There is nothing quite like holding them in your lap and reading a story. E loves it when we read, and I'm so glad Bekah reads to them when I'm not around. I know it is helping them developmentally and emotionally. It also creates a bond that you can't get watching TV with them. So I'm going to continue reading to these blessings hoping they'll read to their children one day. I pray I'm still here to read to their kids too. That's why I'm losing my butter half.
My calories today were good. My dinner was good, but the pizza was high calorie. This left me hungry not long after dinner, and I snacked on some crackers and a cookie. I want to make sure I'm eating more with my meal so I don't snack as much later on. My workout this morning was really hard. I would say it was definitely more than just a moderate ride on the bike. I'm really struggling with the planks this week. I may need to keep the time on the individual arms where it's at for one more week.
