Day Two Hundred and Fifty-Five - Sunshine, Farmer's Market, and Family Time

Today was a beautiful day!  We have been planning all week to head into Little Rock and visit the farmer's market at the Little Rock River Market (more info here).  We try each year to go a few times while it's open.  They are open from May through September and have a great selection of produce, meat, crafts, and more!  We picked up a few vegetables, and then walked around talking to vendors and enjoying the beautiful weather.  E's favorite part was the dogs people had with them.  She got to pet two of them, which absolutely made her day.

I am so blessed to be able to spend a Saturday with my wife and kids.  I love making fun memories and capturing pictures that we can look back on for years to come.  In the past, walking around the farmer's market would completely wear me out.  I would come home and sit the rest of the day completely sore (carrying three hundred and sixty pounds around gets tiring very fast).  Another difference from how we used to do things is lunch.  In the past we would schedule our market visit so that we could eat downtown and try different restaurants.  I'm not saying that it is a bad thing to try local places and eat out.  For me, those foods are not great choices and I would typically overeat.  Also, we as a family are really trying not to spend money we don't have (pretty logical plan), so eating out just isn't best right now.  So we left right after breakfast, and made it home before lunchtime.  We finished off the day grilling some burgers and enjoying delicious roasted veggies.  Weather like we had today really called for me to fire up the grill.  It's been a great day, and I'm still losing my butter half.

My calories were good today.  I had too many with my breakfast and lunch, but overall I did well.  We had a really great dinner.  I didn't get to workout this morning since we heading to the market, but I did get a full workout in this afternoon.  It was a really tough one for me, but I'm very glad I finished it.
