May 2016 vs May 2017 |
I know in previous posts I've talked about having milestones along the way. These are mini goals along my journey that I use to inspire myself to keep moving towards my final goal (when the butter half is gone). This has been critical in staying focused. It also motivates me to push toward the next goal. You can do this too! If you have a goal set for yourself that you are struggling to hit. Maybe you have given up, or are tempted to give up because it is taking so long to reach. Set some milestone goals for yourself. You'll be amazed how much easier it is to stick to your journey when you are experiencing small victories along the way.
Now let's get into the reason I get a spike in page visits every Thursday night and Friday, my weigh in results. Last week I hit 115.2 lbs. lost. I weighed in at 251 lbs. I wasn't sure if I would be able to come close to replicating that loss, but I was going to do the same things I've been doing for a while now. Exercise, track my food, and then blog here for accountability. I'm happy to report that as of this morning, I have lost another 3 lbs.! I weighed in at 248 lbs., bringing my total weight loss to 118.2 lbs. I am completely ecstatic right now! For the first time since 2008, I weigh less than 250 lbs.! Rebekah has never known me this thin (honestly, I hardly recognize myself). I have now reached my second to last milestone before I reach my final goal (and the butter half is gone). All of this being said, I know that I am still a long way from where I want to be. I am looking better, feeling better, and have come so far, but I know that there is still a large part of my journey left. This last 48 lbs. may prove to be the hardest to drop. Thank you all for being here as I'm losing and for supporting me along this journey. The accountability you've provided has been key in my losing weight. So tonight I'm excited to finally weigh under 250 lbs. again. I'm losing my butter half!
My calorie intake today was great. I did eat half of an ice cream cookie sandwich (while still staying within my calorie goal). We had delicious fajitas for dinner. I'm amazed that I only eat one fajita these days. In the past two was a minimum (if not three). My workout this morning was really good. I'm excited to tell you that I bumped each individual arm planks up to one minute. It was very hard (and definitely painful), but even through the shaking I was able to complete both sets. One week with this add on, and then I'll be adding pushups!
