Day Two Hundred and Forty-Six - Weigh in #35 - May the Fourth Be With You

It's Star Wars Day!  I woke up to texts and a Facebook news feed full of "May the 4th be with you" memes.  I can believe it is already May!  I feel like I'm still back in September or October, and just getting started with this journey.  I'm excited to see where I'll be at in the Fall.  I look back at pictures from last summer and can't believe I'm the same person.  I'm so excited to be two thirds of the way through my year.  I've learned so much about myself and about making healthier decisions.  The best part about this is that it hasn't been that hard of a change.  A lot of the most difficult changes seemed to happen naturally.  So if you haven't had success, just find a few small changes to start with.  Start with daily exercise and tracking what you are eating (obviously consult with your doctor first before you start).  The changes I originally made were to eat under 1500 calories and to work out each day.  We also made a family goal to stop eating out as much.  Probably the biggest thing was me being honest with both myself and my family.  I was harming myself and my family with my lifestyle.  So be honest with yourself.  Start small, and let your changes happen over the first few weeks.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.

I stepped on the scale again this morning for the thirty-fifth time since September.  I really wasn't sure what to expect.  After spending two afternoons in a car and not having my normal foods to eat, I was a little worried.  I was confident that I had lost weight, but I was a little worried it would be the same as last week, and be around a one pound loss.  I'm very excited to say that I definitely made up for last week.  When I looked down at the little screen that has such a big impact on my life, it told me I had lost another 4 lbs!  I couldn't believe it.  I was definitely not expecting that.  This brings my total weight loss to 115 lbs. even.  My current weight is 251 lbs!  I am almost to my next milestone, and I only have 51 more pounds to lose to reach my goal weight.  I know that this next seventeen weeks is going to be extremely hard.  I'm up to the challenge.  I know the end results will be well worth this work it is taking to get there.  I'm thirty-five weeks in, and I'm losing my butter half!

My calories today were great!  We had leftover chicken that Bekah grilled on Monday with sweet potatoes and vegetables.  My workout this morning was definitely not easy, but I added another thirty seconds to my plank.  Next week I add more time to my individual arm planks.
