Day Two Hundred and Seventy-Five - Rest Is Best

I was able to go back to work today.  I hadn't had a fever in over twenty-four hours and my stomach pain was all but gone.  I wish I could tell you that I felt great and had a very energizing day at work, but that wouldn't be true.  It was a very busy day, which is a great thing that I won't complain about.  The problem was my lack of energy.  When I was coming home this evening, I was completely wiped, and my voice was nearly gone (from talking to customers all day).  All I was thinking was how excited I was that it was Friday and I can have the weekend to recover.  Sometimes, that is exactly what we need, a few days to recover.

When you are going full speed ahead for so long, it makes sense that you may need to rest the engines a little.  Sometimes situations will force you to kill the power and let the system reboot.  That is what has happened to me.  My body has let me know that I need a couple days of rest.  Don't worry, I haven't gone binging (after a stomach bug, no way!) or anything.  I just haven't put my body through a workout yesterday or today so that it can heal.  I hope to get back to my normal workout tomorrow and Sunday, but we will see how I'm feeling in the morning.  I have really felt a lot better tonight.  Once I ate a little food I felt much butter.  I went with a roast beef from Arby's.  I think I've mentioned before that it is the perfect food after a stomach bug.  It felt really good to have food in my belly and not be nauseous.  So here is to a reboot tomorrow.  I'm determined to see these two off days as a positive along this journey to lose my butter half.

I had toast and saltine crackers for breakfast and lunch.  For dinner I had a roast beef sandwich from Arby's.  I didn't work out again today, because I was exhausted after work and new I wouldn't be able to handle it today (and thought it would be smart to let my body rest one more day).  Here's to starting back tomorrow!
