Day Three Hundred and Eleven - I May Not Be Spider-Man, but I'm Going Through a Change

We all know the story of the teenager who was bit by a spider and obtained super powers overnight.  In the first Spider-Man movie series (with Tobey Maguire), one of the things he notices right off the bat is that he changes from a scrawny kid to very fit, muscular man.  I know I wasn't bit by a spider (more like a kidney stone), and my transformation has taken almost a year.  Still, I can't help but see the similarities with the neighborhood web-slinger.  The main similarity to me is that after the change Peter Parker's life was never the same.  I am already noticing so many differences in my life so far, I can hardly imagine what my life is going to be like after I've completed this journey.

I went to see Spider-Man: Homecoming today.  It was really great.  The writing is much better than both of the first two series.  Even though I was a huge Andrew Garfield fan, I am very impressed with Tom Holland.  He's a very believable high-schooler-turned-superhero.   I did enjoy a very small amount of popcorn.  I found out they have a "Junior" size that is even smaller than the small, and I only ate half of it.  Popcorn is very hard for me to turn down, so my only eating half of a Junior size was a big deal.  It's progress like this will help me lose my butter half.

My calories were great today.  I stayed under 1500 while having popcorn and lunch out.  My workout this morning went well, but it was too hot to run this evening.  I'm looking forward to the running weather as is turns cool this Fall.
