Day Three Hundred and Twenty-Three - Weigh in #46 - What is Going On Here?


I’m not sure what is going on.  After a horrible last couple of weeks, I was really thinking that this week would be the week that things get back on track.  I didn’t eat horribly.  I didn’t blow up my calories or anything.  Yes, I could have been more careful a few of the days with what I was choosing to eat, but even with those few things, I shouldn’t be gaining weight.  I ran multiple times on top of my morning workouts.  I guess I’m going to have to eat super strictly this next week and see what happens.  Anyway, here are the results of today’s weigh in.

When I stepped on the scale this morning, it read that I have not lost, but rather gained 1 lb.  This was completely unexpected and a little frustrating.  This brings my total weight loss back to 134 lbs., with a current weight of 232.2 lbs.  I want to make sure I say that while I’m frustrated, I’m not putting myself down.  Rather I’m doing research on medical and weight loss websites for what to do when you hit a plateau.  I’m determined not to just have a knee-jerk reaction and do anything drastic or stupid.  Rather I’m going to take a week to be very disciplined and stick to my processes and workouts.  If I do see a major improvement by next week, then I may switch up my workouts or see what other healthy options I have.  The biggest thing that frustrates me is that I’m only six weeks away from September 1st.  In order to hit my 220 lbs. target, I have to average at least 2 lbs. per week until then.  There can be no mess-ups this week.  I will be very disciplined, and watch my intake.  Also, I realize that this could be much worse.  I could be up 5 lbs.  1 lb. difference could be bloating or water weight.  Still, I really want to hit that September 1st goal.  We’ll see how this goes.  I’m going to lose my butter half.

My calories today were perfect.  I made sure to make wise choices about what I took in.  I’m even avoiding the leftover chocolate cake and ice cream from E’s birthday.  I had a great workout this morning, and made sure it was a consistent effort.  I was determined not to slack off at all.  I wanted to mow tonight, but it didn't work out.  With it being crazy hot out, I decided against running.  I'm going to have to do one or the other tomorrow evening.
