Day Three Hundred and Fifty-One - Weigh in #50 - A Day of Milestones
Well folks, today has been pretty great. There have been two milestones reached. First, today was E's first day of Kindergarten. This is a huge moment for any parent. Seeing my little girl standing there beaming about the adventure awaiting her hit a special place in my heart. I can't quite put it into words, but this will forever be a milestone in this proud papa's memory.
I know I've talked a lot about milestones throughout this journey. If you don't remember, in order to encourage myself and not grow weary in my quest to lose 166.2 pounds I set milestone goals. The first was getting below 350 lbs., and then each subsequent milestone was on the twenty-fives (325, 300, 275, etc.). I have been trying for what seems like forever to hit this final milestone goal. 225 lbs. will be the last milestone I can cross before I hit my final goal of 200 lbs. Today, I finally crossed under 225 lbs. When I stepped onto my scale this morning I am excited to say that I was down another 4.2 lbs. This means I have now lost 142.6 lbs., with a current weight of 223.6 lbs. I am only 3.6 lbs. from hitting my September goal, and only 23.6 lbs. from losing all of my 166.2 lbs. I am completely stoked to be under 225 lbs. for the first time since my Freshman year of college. I'm so excited to have hit this milestone and be so close to losing my butter half!
My calories were really good today. I had more at dinner than I would prefer, but I was out at a work social. I did well with not eating all of my meal by stopping when I was satisfied. I completed my full bike ride and workout this morning. It felt great. Now to focus on getting back to running.
