Day Three Hundred and Ninety-Five

I ate too many calories today.  The good thing is that I walked/ran enough to balance that out.  We went to the Memphis Zoo today.  We have a pass for the Little Rock Zoo and that gets us a fifty percent discounts at other zoos.  If you haven't been to the Zoo in Memphis you are really missing out.  It's layout and exhibit designs are great.  Plus there is shade for the majority of the zoo.   It was a perfect day.  Because we were traveling and eating out and snacks at the zoo, I knew I was going to be over my normal calorie intake.  My run this morning was really great.  The weather was fantastic and the sunrise was stunning.  I also walked over 15,000 steps today!

Day Three Hundred and Ninety-Four

Well, I feel like I ate too much at dinner tonight.  The calories don't reflect it as a whole, but I am way too full.  I had two tacos instead of one at dinner.  I didn't put as much meat and vegetable mix in each of them as I did last night, but I'm sure I didn't need the extra tortilla.  I don't know if I've said this, but Bekah makes great tacos!  My run this morning was great.  I skipped on my push-ups and sit-ups tonight because I was having some pain in my chest again.  This is the same musculoskeletal pain I had back in the spring.  I guess I've pulled or torn something again.  I hope this heals quick, because it isn't fun at all.

Day Three Hundred and Ninety-Three - Weigh in #56 - Ups and Downs Then and Now

I can't believe I'm fifty-six weigh ins into this journey.  I can still remember this point last year when I was finishing my first four weigh ins.  We had just returned from a trip to Michigan, and I actually put on weight that week.  I remember that I was so frustrated with myself for going up in weight.  After going up over a half pound last week, I really wanted to be sure that I didn't go up this week also.  I did much better than the prior week, but still didn't make perfect food choices.  I was a little nervous that I wouldn't have lost anything, but I was hoping for the best.

When I stepped onto the scale this morning I was just hoping to be down at least two pounds.  I didn't quite hit that, but I did lose weight.  As of today I am down another 1.8 lbs.  This brings my total weight loss to 151.6 lbs., with a current weight of 214.6 lbs.  I am very excited to be under 215 lbs. for the first time in over twelve years.  I know this wasn't the two pounds or more that I was hoping for, but I'm still very excited to be down again.  Now I need to regroup and have an excellent week to keep the ball rolling.  I'm heading the right direction again, and I'm losing my butter half.

My calories today were good.  I did have a little bit of candy, and allowed myself some chips with my taco tonight.  I really need to be disciplined this week to get back on schedule to be at 200 lbs. in November.  My run this morning went well.  I actually ran at a 10:03/mile pace.  It felt great!  I did my push-ups and sit-ups again tonight.  I think it's going to be sometime next week that I'm back to doing planks as well.

Day Three Hundred and Ninety-Two

My calories today were perfect.  It's been a few days since I have come to the end of the day and thought, "I hit my calorie goal and didn't eat any snacks or sweets."  I even avoided eating ice cream during men's time tonight at church (and they even had M&Ms out as a topping).  My run this morning was really good.  I didn't push too hard, but made sure I sped up a little from my previous two runs.  I also did my sit-ups and push-ups tonight.  I have another weigh in tomorrow morning.  I'm a little nervous about it, because I haven't stuck to my processes quite as seriously as I needed to this week.  Also, I had more roasted golden potatoes with my dinner tonight.  Eating starch right before a weigh in probably isn't the best idea, but they really are amazing!  I really want to be down again and get back on track to reaching two hundred pounds.

Day Three Hundred and Ninety-One

Overall it was an average day for calories.  I ate more than I had planned, but still stayed under my max goal.  I had some gummy snacks (which I need to be more careful with still) and some Cheez-its before dinner.  Bekah made the best tilapia and roasted golden potatoes for dinner.  The potatoes were addicting.  I had WAY too many of them.  My run this morning was really good.  The sixty-five degree weather was perfect.  I took it fairly easy again, but still a little faster than yesterday.  I am going to slowly get back to my ten minute per mile pace.  I did my push-ups and sit-ups again tonight, so just another nineteen days and it will be a habit again.  Hopefully by next week I'll be doing planks each days as well.

Day Three Hundred and Ninety

My calorie intake was within my calorie goal today.  I ate some candy which wasn't best, and I'll have to be more careful tomorrow.  Apparently Starbursts has sour gummies which are really addicting.  Thankfully, I had a salad for lunch and a healthy serving of carrots with my pizza quesadilla at dinner.  My run this morning was good.  The weather was perfect.  I intentionally took it slower than normal because of my hamstring.  I was still feeling the sourness from it cramping up during yesterday's run and I didn't want to overdo it.  I am going to take it fairly easy tomorrow morning also just to be safe.  I did my body weight workout this evening.  I'm going to try and do it each night.  I can't believe how big of a setback I have had by not doing those each day.

Day Three Hundred and Eighty-Nine

My calorie intake today was really good.  I had a few snacks, but not too many.  Dinner was just something thrown together late tonight after my shopping trip.  I really don't like eating that late, but I wasn't hungry earlier.  I need to be very careful these next few days to make sure I am down this week.  The good thing is that I had a very good weekend.  My run this morning went great until the last quarter mile.  I got a cramp in my left hamstring.  I tried to stretch it and made it back to the house, but it has bothered me for most of the day.  I'm going to stretch it well before bed and hope that it will feel better by morning.

Day Three Hundred and Eighty-Eight

My calorie intake today was really good.  I avoided sweets and was very careful to stay within my calorie goal.  I made a delicious barbecue chicken wrap for dinner with some leftover grilled chicken.  I am excited to have gotten things back on track today.  Saturday's tend to be my hardest day to stick to my calories.  I had a great run this morning.  The weather was perfect and I was able to run three and two-thirds miles.  I also was excited to walk over 10,000 steps today.  We went to the farmer's market, the zoo, Home Depot, and to SAMs.  I'm pretty sure I walked even more than my Fitbit registered, because I was pushing the stroller through the market the whole time.  I think it may have been one of the best days I've had in a long time.
