Day Three Hundred and Eighty-Six - Weigh in #55 - It's Not as Bad as I Was Expecting
Sometimes you can look back at a week, and just know that your weigh in will be terrible. I knew after the foods I ate last Thursday-Sunday that I was in for a rough weigh in. I had ice cream, cookies, barbecue, chips, more cookies, more chips, etc., and I knew that I had put on weight. My only hope was to work extremely hard and stay focused Monday-Wednesday, and maybe, just maybe, I wouldn't be up in weight. I knew better than to eat the way I did. It just gets so easy to enjoy some unhealthy options from time to time. I just have to continue to have the discipline and self-control to avoid snacks and desserts for the most part, and when I do have some, to only have a small amount (easier said than done, right?).
My weigh in this morning was better than I was expecting. It was definitely not a good weigh in though. When I stepped onto the scale, I saw the number go up 0.6 lbs. from last weeks weigh in. It wasn't as bad as it could have been. I easily could have been up 2-3 lbs., and I'm convinced my hard work these last three days helped to prevent that from happening. My current weight is now 216.4 lbs., so my total weight loss is 149.8 lbs. I really need to work hard to make up for this poor week. I still want to drop the last of this weight as quickly (and safely) as possible. I'm hoping I won't let this small blip slow me down as I continue to lose my butter half.
My calorie intake was really good today. Even at a social tonight for work, I got one small order of shrimp and didn't get fries. I really did a great job of keeping my calories low. My run this morning went great. I still haven't gotten back to my body weight workout. I have to find time to fit that in, I can't lose the progress I made with my push-ups and planks.
