Day Three Hundred and Seventy-Two - Weigh in #53 - The Tale of Two Labor Days

So this is my first full post since I completed my year of daily blogging.  To be honest, it's been nice not having to come up with content for each night's post.  It's been a good week.  The three-day weekend was really relaxing, and it's always fun to grill on Labor Day.  The pictures above are from Labor Day 2016 and then 2017.  I can honestly say I was shocked when I saw the pictures.  I don't remember looking like that.  It's embarrassing to see that I let myself get that bad.  I'm grateful for the change, but now I have to start preparing to keep it off.  That is why I'm working so hard to run each day.  I want fitness to be a major part of my life.  I never want to become the couch potato again.

This morning was another weigh in for me.  I wasn't quite sure what the results would be.  I knew I'd done well, other than a few too many sugary snacks, and Labor Day (I wasn't very careful in what I chose to eat).  Still, I'm heading in the right direction.  When I stepped on the scale this morning I was down another 1.2 lbs.  This brings my total weight loss to 147.8 lbs., with a current weight of 218.4 lbs.  I was really bummed that I didn't hit my 2 lb. goal.  I want to lose this last bit of weight in ten weeks or less, so I really need to have a great week to get back on track.  With my blister on my foot I'm not sure I'll be able to work out as hard as I have been.  Regardless of how long it takes, I'm going to lose my butter half.

My calorie intake today was perfect.  We had BBQ from Whole Hog at work today.  If you've never tried it, you really need to try their pulled chicken.  It's the best pulled chicken I've ever had.  My run today was great for the first mile, but got worse and was pretty painful by the end of my third mile.  Under Armour said they'd return the shoes for me, so I'm really considering it.  The problem is that they are really comfortable shoes and feel great everywhere other than the spot that rubs.  I just hate spending money on them if I'm only going to wear them for casual shoes.  I also did a ten minute cool down on the recumbent, which felt strange after the three and a half mile run.
