Day Four Hundred - Weigh in #57 - Two Days 'Til Race Day

I know I have mentioned that I am running my first 5K this weekend.  I want to take a moment and fill you in on why I chose this particular race.  "Angel One is a flight team dedicated and specially trained to take care of the sickest children in Arkansas. The Angel One crew is responsible for safely bringing more than 2,000 kids every year to Arkansas Children’s Hospital where they can receive the life-saving care they need."  You can read even more bout Angel One's mission here.  The reason I chose the Angel One 5K is because I am able to raise money for Angel One by having people sponser me to run.  I am trying to raise $250, and I am about $225 shy of that goal.  If I can just get ten $25 donations, 25 $10 donations, or 50 $5 donations I know I will be able to hit my goal.  So will you help?  Will you join my team?  Please consider giving a gift and help save lives of children here in AR.

My weigh in today went well.  I don't dread weigh ins like I used to.  The only thing about them that I'm not fond of is that I have slowed down and I'm not losing as much as I used to.  When I stepped onto my scale this morning, I am glad to report that I am down another 1.8 lbs.  This brings my total weight loss to 153.4 lbs., with a current weight of 212.8 lbs.  I know I would like to still be dropping 3 lbs. per week, but I think I am losing at a healthy pace right now.  Honestly, I'm probably fortunate to be losing this much this far into my journey.  I am now less than thirteen pounds from my final goal.  I can't wait to get there so I can finally say that I've lost my butter half.

My calories today were really good.  I stayed within my goal, and made good choices for my food.  Bekah made chicken fajitas for dinner (which was delicious).  Having something with a lot of seasoning on it was great since I have a cold right now.  My run this morning was still a little rough since I'm not feeling great.  Still, I got my miles in which always provides a sense of accomplishment to my day.  I'm only two days from my first 5K.  I can't wait to see how it goes.
