Day Four Hundred and Fifty-Six - Weigh in #65 - Getting Needed Sleep

It is pretty late and I'm exhausted.  I haven't fully recovered from the festivities of last week.  I have been getting to sleep around eleven each night when I should be in bed before ten.  It really goes to show how critical sleep is to both mental and physical health.  I know I need a minimum of seven and a half hours of rest each night.  When I go for multiple days without getting the proper amount of sleep, I become tired, grumpy, and unpleasant.  I am more easily irritated, and have trouble focusing.  I think I saw a lot of that in me today.  That is why I am going to hurry through the rest of this post.

My weigh in today was really good.  After eating like crazy for three or four days (for some reason when families gather there is always a lot of eating that happens), I have gotten back into the groove of counting calories and exercising.  When I stepped onto the scale, I saw that I had lost almost another pound.  I was down 0.8 lbs.  This brings my total weight loss to 155.8 lbs., with a current weight of 210.4 lbs.  I am so thankful I managed to lose weight over Thanksgiving.  I was really worried that I would be up a few pounds.  That was not the case, and I am so excited about that.  Now it is time to buckle down and finish losing my butter half.

My calories today were not great.  I allowed myself to snack tonight.  Now I will need to be focused tomorrow to get myself back on track.  I also need to create time to ride the bike multiple evenings per week.  My run this morning was hard.  I just didn't feel like I had the drive or energy needed to run one of my faster times.  Still, I'm excited just to be out on the pavement.  I'm going to try and track all of my miles for December.  My monthly goal will be 100 miles.
