Day Four Hundred and Thirty-Five - Weigh in #62 - A Bummed Ankle and a Bummer of a Weigh In

I love being able to say that I completed a half marathon this past Saturday.  I hate that my ankle and foot are now injured.  I hate that I haven't been able to run since my race.  What's even worse is that I planned to be able to run, so I ate terrible all weekend.  Once I realized that I wasn’t going to be able to run all week (and maybe longer), I went back to sticking to my calorie goal, and watching my food choices.  Still, it was a little too late by then.  I had made the error of assuming I could cheat for a few days, and then be able to work the calories back off.  That just wasn’t the case.

When I stepped onto the scale today I went in the wrong direction.  I gained 2 lbs.  It was pretty frustrating, but I was honestly expecting it to be more. I was expecting a 5 lb. gain.  I’m very grateful that wasn’t the case.  My total weight loss is now at 151.8 lbs., with a current weight of 214.4 lbs.  I honestly don’t know when I’m going to be able to run again, so I am going to have to eat extremely carefully until I’m back out there.  I know I can do it, it will just take a lot of focus and discipline.  I’m not throwing in the towel.  I will lose my butter half.

My calories today were alright.  I allowed myself a coupe snacks that I didn’t need (pumpkin muffin after dinner), but I didn’t blow my calories out of the water.  I also got a good ride in on the recumbent this morning, so I’m grateful to be able to exercise.  This ankle is really starting to annoy me.  I may need to go in for an X-ray just so I know that anything I do won’t put me at risk of making my injury worse.
