Day Four Hundred and Seventy-Seven - Weigh in #68 - Christmas Time is Hard on Calories
So I know I've been saying for a while how terrible I've been eating. I have become a lot less disciplined with my calories recently. I know it has showed by the slowing of my weight loss. Also, the types of foods I'm eating haven't been the best. I know it is Christmas time, but I need to be more careful with what I'm eating and the amounts. As we saw last week, it is hard to prevent gaining weight when you are eating unhealthy. Also, I hope if you are reading these, you will go back to the Fall of 2016 and find inspiration from my successes to help you on your journey.
My weigh in this morning was a little unexpected. I worked out hard this week, but didn't eat well. I was convinced that, even with the workouts, I would go up a few pounds. I ran six miles last night, and then six again this morning. When I stepped on the scale, I was pleasantly surprised. Rather than going up in weight, I actually went down 3 lbs! I was completely shocked, but thrilled as well. This brings my total weight loss to 159.8 lbs., and a current weight of 206.4 lbs. I can't express how satisfying it feeling to lose such a big amount again. I'm getting close to my 200 lb. goal! I'm down three pounds, and I'm losing my butter half!
My calories today were not great. We had a Christmas party at work, and then I had a Christmas social after work. I had too much candy and made poor choices about what I was going to eat. I'm not expecting to have great days over these next few days since it's Christmas. I'll need to run as much as I can to make sure I am balancing out my diet. My run this morning was awesome! After putting in six miles (10K) last night, I didn't know how much I'd have left in me for my run this morning. Running over 12 miles in less than 12 hours was pretty crazy. I was pleasantly surprised to get another 10K in this morning!
